Kiswa

The door of the Holy Kaaba is called Bab ar-Rahmah, meaning the “Door of Mercy.” The curtain that covers the door of the Holy Kaaba is called Kiswa. It is draped annually on the 9th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, the day pilgrims leave for the plains of Mount Arafat during the Hajj. It is made of pure white silk that has been dyed black and embroidered with verses from the Quran in gold and silver threads.

 

The verses on the Kaaba Door are carved into a Black Panel. 

All items are handcrafted, therefore no item is identical. Please allow for slight imperfections due to the items being handmade.  

 

All pieces are made to order as they are handmade according to the finish of your choice. We do not accept returns.
